1 & 2/3 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 cup canned pumpkin
6 ounces (1 cup) chocolate chips
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice and salt together in a large bowl. Combine the eggs with the butter and pumpkin in a bowl and beat until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips. Fold into the dry ingredients. Spoon into greased muffin cups or use paper liners. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately or remove to a wire rack to cool.
